I have heard from many parents that the process can quickly feel like a full-time job. We have many experts and specialists in the Washington, Dc area, but figuring out what help is needed and who to trust can be daunting.

Someone with decades of experience in the classroom and educational settings; someone with a vast network of specialists such as tutors, speech, occupational, and physical therapists, physicians, optometrists, psychologists, and neuropsychologists; someone who will slow down and take the time to get to know your child and family; someone who will really listen and serve as an objective sounding board, helping to put together a customized plan to address your family’s needs.

 

In my over 30 years in education, I worked in some of the East Coast’s most prestigious private schools. Most recently, I worked for over ten years as the learning specialist at Georgetown Day School, where I supported students, advised families, and referred to specialists.

 

I founded my consulting company in 2022 and am so excited to offer my services and work in-depth with families and children. My job is to help uncover the roadblocks, to guide families toward solutions, and bring joy and motivation back to the child’s school experience and home life. It is incredible the transformative effect the right support can have on a child’s life and educational path.
